Our destination today is Italy, but specifically Lago di Como, where the wonderful destination wedding of Thayane and Leandro happened. I was in love with them, and I am dying to miss the preparations and to help this beautiful couple with the "Yes" of dreams. I didn't have a wedding there yet, so I researched and tested everything from scratch, right before the wedding. I liked the professionalism of the Italians so much, I even opened a subsidiary of where to marry in Italy. So now we're here and there!
Their story is pretty cool, so I'm going to tell you all the details. Thayane and Leandro are synonymous that you really can't fight or argue with fate. Seriously, it's creepy with their story. "We met still small, when families were already very friendly. In 1994, we kissed for the first time at a Halloween party. I was 12 years old (my first Kiss) and Lee, at the age of 15. Only one kiss was enough to know that it was different. We were very young and we followed different paths. Five years passed after that first kiss, until we met again at a famous party in Ribeirão Preto, where we lived at the time. It took a look at us to be together again. We always knew we had something special, a dormant feeling waiting for the right time to manifest. But not yet this time, we stayed a few more years without seeing each other, until in October 2002, our paths were definitely crossed. Right now, we were sure the timing was perfect and then we were just happiness and love 15 years ago. The heart tightens and starts to pass a film of everything we went through to get here. And how good it is to remember every little bit of our love story. " Too much, huh?
And after so many years together, all the steps were planned together, just like their lives. "The engagement was in Las Vegas, in a restaurant I love at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel. We bought together the ring at Tiffany's Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, "she recalls the day she began her bridal adventure. It's been four months of preparation. "I met Simone tostes on the internet a few years ago. Simone celebrates many marriages in Europe, but had never celebrated a marriage in Como, she sought information and the best suppliers to meet with excellence. She's a wonderful professional, left me very quiet, helped me a lot in all questions and doubts and stood by my side the whole day of the wedding. Having Simone by my side was essential, she became a very dear friend. I participated in every choice actively, from flowers, color palette, buffet, beverages, music, bouquet etc. " I was thrilled and I can say that they also joined the family where to marry!
The choice of the venue was also important for the couple. "The Villa del Balbianello is a very striking place in my life, I have always admired the place. And Leandro is very fond of ' 007 Casino Royale ', whose excerpt from the film was recorded in the Villa! I always wanted to get married in Lake Di Como, in Italy, and there was the perfect place, of my dreams. The date had to be on the 25/10 day, because we had 15 years together. And Balbianello, always with the full schedule, had exactly this vague date, was reserved for me. "
A classic and simple wedding dress, without embroidery and with lace and long sleeves was Thayane's dream. "I bought in Brazil, the brand St Patrick – Pronovias for Meire Alves. Meire Alves sells wedding dresses from the best brands in our region and customizes according to her way ", says she, who took the look with a simple veil, long and with small details in lace, pearl wreath, of Graciella Starling, shoes Louboutin and jewels from Tiffany & Co. The groom had no doubt that he would wear a suit from stylist Ricardo Almeida. As the wedding happened at noon, everyone arranged at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, where we were staying.
It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I've ever witnessed. The location, the energy of the grooms and guests, everything was in perfect harmony. Bride and groom arrived by boat and the ceremony took place in Loggia, an amazing spot with a wonderful view of the lake. It was like a movie scene. Thayane made me a special request: that the Celebrant spoke Portuguese. It wasn't easy, but I found a perfect one! The party followed with a coktail in the property garden and a delicious lunch. "We hired a violinist for the ceremony and a DJ for the party. Classical music for the ceremony, but with a modern twist. The DJ's choice was made by Simone's team. The most marked song I chose for the bride's departure, "Set fire to the Rain," by Adele. I'm passionate about her work. I've traveled to the U.S. only to see an exclusive Adele show, "recalls the bride.
Thayane took care of all the details and drew her own décor. "The wedding was classic. The project was conceived by me, Simone and the Professionals of Italy together. I have a very particular taste and I know what I like. It wasn't hard to choose everything, because I knew how I wanted it to happen. It would not simply change anything, it was a dream!! " I love it when the bride and groom go into the spirit and tradition of the country they chose.
Lunch happened with French service. "We managed to eat everything, only the sweets that were many and could not experience them all. We hire open bar service separately. And for dinner we serve Barolo wines. We love wines and take Barolo at the wedding in how it was something I was making a point. We were in the region of Piedmont, where we had the pleasure of meeting Barolo and its Creoles ", concludes Thayane.
